Working Holiday Visa- New exemptions for UK passport holders

Effective 1 July 2024, UK passport holders will be exempt from the work requirements for second and third Working Holiday Visas (subclass 417). The change will allow eligible UK citizens to apply for the above-mentioned visas without the need of meeting the previous specified work requirements. This aligns with the Australia-United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement (Australia- UK FTA) arrangements.

It is worth noting, effective 1 July 2023, any applicants for a Working Holiday visa with UK passport can be aged between 10 and 35 years inclusive at time of application.
