Earlier In January this year, The Northern Territory suspended online portal for new applications. All applications received before the suspension will continue to be assessed, and those who meet the eligibility criteria will be issued nominations.
The program will be reopened for new applications once nomination allocations are received for the 2025-26 program year.
Exception for Onshore applicants
During the suspension, applications will continue to be accepted by exception for onshore applicants who have the following visa deadlines before 1 July 2025:
- Those who have visas expiring before1 July 2025 and not eligible for a Temporary Graduate Visa
- Those who are due to become ineligible for the GSM program due to attaining a certain age before 1 July 2025 (e.g. turning 45 or losing points for age, bringing the total migration points to below 65)
Please note that NT may not be able to guarantee nominations before visa expiry dates.
