A pre- application process known as visa ballot has commenced effective 1 October 2024 under the Working Holiday Maker (WHM) program. Visa ballot registration has been opened for the following high-demand Work and Holiday (Subclass 462) countries:
- China
- India
- Vietnam
The Department of Home Affairs will be conducting random selections of registrations over program year 2024-25 and the successfully selected candidates will be notified via email. These successful candidates will be then instructed to apply for a first Work and holiday visa online.
Applicants must meet all the standard eligibility requirements for the Subclass 462 to be granted this visa for entry into Australia.
