Because of an increasing demand for subclass 190 nomination and these nominations exceeding the number of places available, Migration Tasmania is now only accepting ROIs that have been allocated a Gold Pass. This measure affects only subclass 190 and will be in place for the remainder of the 2023-24 program.
Migration Tasmania will resume accepting ROIs in subclass 190 nomination from all eligible candidates when the 2024-25 Tasmanian Skilled Migration State Nomination Program commences. This is currently expected to be in July 2024.
Candidates who have already submitted ROIs
Migration Tasmania intends to invite all current ROIs allocated a Green pass to apply for nomination. However, with fewer than 100 subclass nomination places remaining for the 2023-24 program, Migration Tasmania may not be able to issue invitations or offer nomination until the 2024-25 program year commences.
Please note that subclass 190 ROIs that have already been submitted and allocated a Green Pass will not lapse and will remain valid until an invitation to apply for nomination is issued.
Candidates who have already submitted a ROI for subclass 190 nomination and want to update it to claim additional priority attributes should contact Migration Tasmania.
Subclass 491
There are currently no restrictions on the submission of ROIs for subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional visa nomination. However, if you are invited to apply for and accept subclass 491 nomination you will not be eligible for subclass 190 nomination in the future. Alternatively, you may wish to wait until the 2024-25 Tasmanian Skilled Migration State Nomination Program opens and submit an ROI for subclass 190 nomination.
